Mahindra has announced that software-driven features introduced on the newly launched BE 6 Sporteq will roll out to existing Electric Origin SUVs, including the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S, starting in January 2027. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, the Software Defined Vehicle architecture allows new capabilities to deploy via over-the-air updates without workshop visits. The update introduces six TEQ suites covering AI integration, entertainment, driving, personalisation, and security. TEQ_Talk brings Google Gemini integration utilizing 17 specialised AI agents to support over 100 core functions with natural regional voice commands. Meanwhile, TEQ_Play delivers console-grade gaming with support for up to four controllers and bring-your-own-device screens alongside an in-car karaoke feature.
Why it matters
