A man was burnt to death early Monday morning after the car he was driving caught fire in Venganoor, Thiruvananthapuram. The police identified the preliminary victim as Titus Kurian from Ettumanoor, Kottayam, who had left his home late Sunday. According to authorities, smoke suddenly began rising from the vehicle as it reached Venganoor, quickly engulfing the car in flames. The driver attempted to move the vehicle to the roadside, but it came into contact with tree branches and roadside vegetation. Despite efforts by onlookers to rescue him by trying to open the rear door, the intense flames made intervention impossible.
