Man City sign Ndiaye from Everton for £65m
· Sports · BBC Sport
Manchester City has completed the signing of 26-year-old Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal valued at £65 million. The transfer includes an initial £60 million fee with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons. Ndiaye, who has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, previously played for Marseille before joining Everton in 2024. The deal follows a failed attempt by Tottenham to sign the player after a separate agreement involving Richarlison collapsed. City also confirmed the acquisition of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez for £125 million on the same day.
Why it matters
The transfer represents a significant investment for Manchester City and leaves Everton without a key attacking player who led the Premier League in dribbles last season. The move highlights the high valuation of talent in the current transfer market, with Everton securing a substantial profit on the player they signed two years ago.
