Man Dies of Heart Attack While Collecting Ice Apples in Palakkad

A 64-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack while collecting ice apples from a 60-foot-tall palmyra palm tree in Palappuram, Kerala. The incident occurred on Saturday morning when Rajakumaran climbed the tree in a residential compound. When he failed to climb down, local residents checked and found him stuck at the top. Fire and Rescue Services personnel from Shoranur were called to the scene and brought him down. He had died by the time he reached the ground, and his body was shifted to the Government Taluk Hospital at Ottapalam.
