A man working as an air-conditioner technician killed his lover in Nagpur after she demanded that they get married. The victim, a resident who lived with her husband and two daughters aged 11 and 13, was murdered following a dispute over her marriage proposal. The accused, identified as Javed from Raver tehsil in Jalgaon district, subsequently attempted to destroy evidence by burning her body using a room heater.
