Manipur musician's son recounts what happened before Delhi murder: ‘They were having alcohol, making noise’

Chongtham Vikram Singh, a 54-year-old guitarist and music teacher from Manipur, was beaten to death in Delhi's Kilokari village late Sunday night. The incident occurred after the musician went downstairs from his third-floor apartment to object to a group of people drinking and creating a commotion outside his residence. According to his son, Yaiphaba, the attackers chased his father to the third floor and assaulted him before fleeing the scene. Seven men have been arrested and one minor has been detained by the Sunlight Colony police in connection with the murder. The victim, who had been living in Delhi for 17 years, died in a private hospital in Okhla shortly after the attack.
