The announcement follows her recent move to remove Akash Anand from his party duties ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Mayawati stated that she opposes political nepotism and intends to keep her family members away from MP, MLA, or ministerial posts. She suggested that her brother Anand Kumar could instead seek assistance from his daughter, Kumari Deepika Anand, who is currently studying law. If Deepika Anand is unavailable, Mayawati noted that party responsibilities could be delegated to other missionary workers from the Dalit community.
