Meta Updates Muse AI Safety Warning After Security Flaw

Meta Platforms is implementing a clearer safety warning for its Muse AI agent following the discovery of a security vulnerability. An outside researcher identified a flaw through Meta's bug bounty program that could have allowed unauthorized access to a user's dedicated virtual machine, including sensitive data like emails and files. The vulnerability was classified as a SEV-2, the third-highest severity level on Meta's internal scale. Muse, which launched earlier this month, has gained significant popularity with approximately 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks.
