The new agreement includes an increase from his previous salary of £10 million per year plus £5 million in bonuses. Arteta stated that he wants to build a dynasty at the club after winning Arsenal's first Premier League title in 20 years last season. The Spaniard also led the team to the Champions League final in May, where they lost to Paris St-Germain.
