Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq traveled to New Delhi on Friday to attend an interaction with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The gathering of religious leaders, intellectuals, and dignitaries is hosted by Iran's ambassador to India, Dr Mohammad Fathali, followed by a dinner reception. President Pezeshkian is visiting the Indian capital to attend the BRICS Summit. In March, Mirwaiz led a delegation of Kashmiri religious leaders to the Iranian embassy to express condolences over the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
