MK Stalin Moves Madras High Court Challenging Kolathur Defeat

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin has moved the Madras High Court to challenge his electoral defeat in Kolathur. Mr. Stalin lost the Assembly election seat to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam candidate V.S. Babu by 8,795 votes. His writ petition urges the court to order a 100 percent count of VVPAT slips and verify all 286 electronic voting machines deployed in the constituency. The petition also seeks to declare Mr. Babu's election void and preserve all CCTV footage, custody registers, and technical reports. Mr. Stalin cited various malfunctions and irregularities observed during a post-result verification process conducted across selected polling stations.
