A leaked audio recording involving House of Representatives Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami has exposed disputes between the National Rally of Independents and the Authenticity and Modernity Party. The Interior Ministry reports that 702 candidate lists from 27 parties have been submitted for the upcoming vote. While the king appoints the head of government from the winning party, the current coalition partners are actively competing for influence and candidates. The official campaign period is scheduled to begin on September 10.
