Mother-in-Law Hires Help to Murder Daughter-in-Law in Mumbai

A 65-year-old woman in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area was arrested for allegedly paying Rs 3 lakh to her domestic help and the help's family to murder her 35-year-old daughter-in-law. The victim, Sapna Ghanji, was initially reported to have died from an accidental fall in the bathroom, but police grew suspicious due to visible injury marks on her neck and head. Investigations revealed that the mother-in-law, Dhanlaxmi Ghanji, had long-standing disputes with the victim regarding her lifestyle and a previous domestic violence case. Police have now arrested the mother-in-law along with the domestic help, Mangala Jadhav, and three of her family members.
