MP Hooch Tragedy Prime Accused Arrest After Encounter

Ravi Lakhera, the prime accused in a Madhya Pradesh spurious liquor case, was arrested following an encounter with police in Sagar on Friday. Lakhera, who has 25 criminal cases against him, was injured in the leg during the exchange of fire and taken to a hospital. Police recovered a country-made 12-bore pistol, cartridges, spent casings, and a motorcycle from the scene. Investigations suggest Lakhera provided industrial chemicals for a lethal liquor formula to accomplices' Lodhi and Chandrabhan Singh Rajput. The group allegedly distributed the toxic alcohol through authorized shops just before Krishna Janmashtami at prices significantly below the market rate.
