MPSC Rank Holder Reveals Paper Leak Plot to Evade Detection
· India · Indian Express
Rutuja Patil, who secured the 7th rank in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission drug inspector exam, was instructed by co-conspirators to intentionally answer 10 questions incorrectly to avoid suspicion. Police investigations revealed that 77 leaked questions from a meta set appeared in the final exam paper. The leak reportedly originated from an MPSC office official, Vishveshwar Nakate, who printed questions and passed them through a chain involving Under Secretary Abhijit Lendve and coaching class operator Pravin Patil. Rutuja Patil allegedly received the questions before the March 22 exam and shared them with her boyfriend, Gaurav Patil, whose brother also sat for the test. Authorities are currently investigating the financial transactions involved, including a reported ₹5 lakh payment made by the candidate's father.
