Mumbai airport to temporarily cut 265 weekly international flights from October 25

· India · Indian Express, LiveMint

Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will cut 265 weekly international flights from October 25 to accommodate domestic traffic shifted to Terminal 2 during Terminal 1's redevelopment. Of 770 weekly international slots at T2, 33 per cent will be temporarily discontinued, with IndiGo surrendering 74 slots and Air India 33. Airlines must identify slots to surrender by October 6 or face MIAL's intervention.

Why it matters

Passengers flying internationally from Mumbai will face reduced flight options and potential schedule changes, while domestic travelers shifting to T2 will benefit from streamlined operations as T1 undergoes redevelopment.
