Mumbai Cricket Association Introduces Player Contracts and Scholarship

The Mumbai Cricket Association has launched a central contract system for 22 cricketers, including 14 men and eight women, who are not currently contracted by the BCCI. The contracts are divided into three grades, with annual payments ranging from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh. Additionally, the association has established the Ajinkya Rahane Scholarship Fund to support grassroots development, backed by a contribution from former president Sharad Pawar. The initiative aims to provide financial security and recognition to players representing Mumbai.
