Residents and neighbours in Mumbai's Chembur West are anxiously awaiting the recovery of Captain Smit Machchhar following a cockpit attack aboard a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight. Despite sustaining serious injuries during the incident on Wednesday, Captain Machchhar managed to unlock the cockpit door to let crew members intervene. The flydubai flight carrying 174 passengers subsequently landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Captain Machchhar underwent surgery before being transferred to Dubai for further medical care. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met his family members and praised his courage in saving passengers.
