The celebrations will feature a grand idol adorned with 66 kg of gold and 335 kg of silver ornaments, alongside daily food distribution to over 40,000 people. The five-day festival at King’s Circle will commence on September 14, following the ‘Virat Darshan’ ceremony on September 12. Mumbai Police have deployed over 14,000 personnel to ensure security during the event. The broader city-wide Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across Mumbai are set to begin on September 14.
