Mumbai University Requires APAAR ID for Exam Hall Tickets
· India · Indian Express, NDTV
Mumbai University has announced that students enrolled for semester exams in 2026-27 must provide an Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID to download hall tickets. Candidates will also need to report to the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam starts. The compulsory APAAR ID requirement and the early arrival rule were adopted by the Examination and Evaluation Board, Management Council and Academic Council during a meeting. MU has launched an Aadhaar facilitation camp on 19‑20 August at the Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies to help students create or link their APAAR IDs and resolve other Aadhaar‑related issues. Students are advised to carry their Aadhaar card and any other required documents to avoid problems.
Why it matters
Students at Mumbai University who will sit exams must now secure an APAAR ID and plan to arrive early, or risk inability to download hall tickets and potentially miss examinations. The AADHAAR camp offers a practical solution to prevent such setbacks.
