In December 2025, President Trump held a secret meeting with Elon Musk where he spent hours consulting Musk's Grok chatbot about Venezuela. Grok reportedly told Trump that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was deeply unpopular and that citizens would celebrate his removal. A month later, U.S. forces invaded Venezuela and captured Maduro on January 3, leaving Trump convinced of the AI model's ingenuity. The Pentagon's head of AI revealed in June that the military subsequently used Gov Grok to deploy and strike targets during the Iran War. The Pentagon also recently tapped Musk and Anduril's Palmer Luckey to co-lead a study on advanced technology in battlefields.
