The head of Myanmar’s military-backed government, Min Aung Hlaing, has arrived in Russia for official talks with President Vladimir Putin. The visit aims to bolster bilateral cooperation across economic, security, and social sectors. This trip marks his seventh visit to Russia since the military seized power in February 2021, following the ousting of the elected government led by Aung San Suu Kyi. Min Aung Hlaing is also scheduled to attend a Myanmar-Russia Business Forum during his stay. The two nations have previously signed a nuclear power development pact and agreed to collaborate on human space flight projects.
