Mysuru City Police have finalized an extensive security plan for the 10-day Dasara festival starting October 11, deploying 5,161 police personnel alongside home guards and specialized units. The arrangements cover major events including the Jamboo Savari procession, palace illumination, and drone shows, with 28 ambulances and 32 fire-rescue teams on standby. Traffic management will prioritize emergency access, and 18 help desks will guide visitors across the city. Police Commissioner Seema Latkar confirmed the deployment will occur in two phases, with heightened security from October 19-21 for the procession and torchlight parade.
