Neha Thakur Drives 16-Tonne Tata Truck Across India

Neha Thakur, 25, from Khudla village in Sarkaghat, Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, drives a 16-tonne Tata truck across India. She obtained her Heavy Motor Vehicle licence in 2023, when she was 21, after training in Chandigarh. The aviation industry was badly hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Thakur returned to Himachal Pradesh after losing her job. Her father, Rajesh Thakur, a truck driver for more than two decades, supported her and helped her practise with the family truck. She records her journeys through social-media videos and vlogs.
