Flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border claimed at least 100 lives and left many missing on Wednesday, including 105 Indian nationals. The disaster struck the Bhote Koshi river corridor, destroying roads, bridges, houses, and critical infrastructure such as hydropower plants and communication networks. The floods also crippled Gyirong Port, a major trade crossing between Tibet and Nepal. Official channels are investigating whether an earthquake-triggered avalanche served as the primary catalyst for the disaster. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh governments have issued flood warnings in response to the catastrophe.
