· Technology · Engadget, finance.biggo
Neurable has launched its newest brain-scanning headphones, the Neurable One, without outside manufacturing partnerships. The $499 device tracks focus levels throughout the working day using an integrated EEG to monitor brain waves and attention. It provides metrics such as brain age, mental processing speed, and the effects of sleep on cognitive function. The headphones feature 40mm beryllium drivers, six microphones for active noise cancellation, and ambient passthrough. The battery delivers 22 hours of playback on a single charge, which drops to 12 hours when the EEG is active.
Why it matters
The release gives professionals and gamers a consumer wearable that combines high-end audio with real-time cognitive monitoring.
