A 254 Labs poll conducted between October 21 and 26 shows Democrats leading in every statewide contest in Texas. The survey of 1,000 registered voters puts James Talarico ahead of Ken Paxton by 51% to 43% in the Senate race. In other contests, Gina Hinojosa leads Greg Abbott 49% to 46% for governor, and Vikki Goodwin leads Dan Patrick 48% to 45% for lieutenant governor. President Donald Trump campaigned in Texas on Tuesday to support Republican candidates and counter potential Democratic victories. During his visit, Trump announced the termination of federal methane regulations to reduce costs for energy producers and boost oil and gas output.
