NIA Arrests 13 Across Assam, Bengal, and Kerala Over IMK Terror Links

The National Investigation Agency arrested 13 persons from West Bengal, Assam, and Kerala for their alleged links to Imam Mahmuder Kafila, an offshoot of the banned terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh. Raids were conducted across 16 locations, resulting in four arrests in West Bengal, eight interceptions in Assam, and one arrest in Kerala. Investigators stated the accused attempted to expand the network through religious indoctrination and digital platforms using a Telegram group named Purva Akash. At least 10 suspects, including nine Bangladeshi nationals, remain absconding.
