· India · Indian Express, Zee News, Hindustan Times

The National Investigation Agency conducted searches at 10 locations across Kashmir on Saturday in connection with a cross-border terror conspiracy. The raids spanned Srinagar, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Budgam to secure documentary, digital, and material evidence regarding the local support network. The investigation centers on Pakistan-based handlers and Over Ground Workers accused of providing logistical support, shelter, and communication channels for infiltrated terrorists. The case was initially registered at the Police Station Zakoora in Srinagar before being re-registered by the NIA under the UA(P) Act, Arms Act, and Explosive Substances Act. This follows the March 31 arrest of an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba Over Ground Worker who was found with a hand grenade and live ammunition.

Why it matters
