NIA Court Grants Bail to Sachin Waze in Antilia Bomb Scare Case

A special National Investigation Agency court in Mumbai has granted bail to dismissed police officer Sachin Waze in the 2021 Antilia explosives scare and Mansukh Hiran murder case. Judge Chakor Bawiskar ordered Waze to furnish a personal bond of ₹1 lakh and one surety of the same amount. As part of his bail conditions, Waze must surrender his passport and is prohibited from entering Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar districts except to attend court proceedings. The case originated in February 2021 after explosives were discovered in a vehicle parked outside the residence of Mukesh Ambani. Waze was arrested in March 2021 following allegations that he orchestrated the bomb scare and contracted the murder of Mansukh Hiran to bolster his reputation as a police officer.
