NIT-Calicut Records Highest-Ever Undergraduate Intake of Over 1,600 Students

The National Institute of Technology-Calicut welcomed over 1,600 newly admitted undergraduate students during its orientation programme in Kozhikode, marking the highest undergraduate intake in the institution's history. The record-breaking cohort includes students enrolling across the Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Architecture, and Integrated Teacher Education Programme BSc-BEd streams. Jayaraj U. Kidav, Executive Director of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Kozhikode, inaugurated the event as the chief guest. NIT-C Director Prof. Prasad Krishna presided over the function, joined by Academic Dean A.V. Babu. The multi-day orientation programme familiarises students with the campus environment, academic framework, research ecosystem, and student support facilities.
