Greater Noida authorities revoked a show-cause notice issued to 20-year-old law student Akshat Tripathi just a day after serving it. Tripathi, a Gautam Buddha University student from Allahabad, had been asked by the Greater Noida Executive Magistrate to execute a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh under BNSS Section 130 to maintain peace. The police report accused him of spreading anti-government statements regarding the Cockroach Janta Party protests in July. Tripathi denied the allegations, stating he had not visited the campus in three months and was working at the Allahabad High Court. The police revoked the order following an investigation, which followed the Supreme Court's September 1 ruling quashing FIRs related to the CJP protests.
