Nora Fatehi Sued for Rs 3 Crores Over Chartered Flight Remarks

· Entertainment · Bollywood Hungama, Rediff

Dunes Aviation has filed a Rs 3 crores civil defamation suit against actress Nora Fatehi at a Gandhinagar court over social media remarks she made about one of its chartered aircraft. The company accuses Fatehi of making derogatory and reckless comments after sharing videos from inside a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft during a Mumbai-Jaipur flight in December. Dunes Aviation claims the actress referred to the standard aircraft as a miniature, a toy, and a Lego airplane, damaging its reputation among her 4.6 crore social media followers. According to the firm, bookings dropped by 15 to 20 percent and cancellations increased following the controversy. The aviation company maintains that the aircraft was fully DGCA-certified and airworthy, and is seeking damages, removal of the posts, and a public clarification. The matter is scheduled to be heard by senior civil judge R Agarwal on September 25.

Why it matters
