NSE May Reduce IPO Size to ₹25,000 Crore

· Business · LiveMint, Times of India

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is reportedly planning to reduce its IPO size from the previously estimated ₹30,000 crore to between ₹25,000 crore and ₹27,000 crore. This adjustment follows a decision by existing shareholders to retain more of their stakes in anticipation of better future valuations. The IPO is scheduled to open for subscription on September 18 with a price band of ₹1,700–₹1,785 per share. The listing is expected to take place on September 25, ahead of the Pitru Paksha period.

Why it matters

The reduced issue size may affect the NSE's ranking as India's largest-ever IPO, while impacting investor participation strategies.
