NTT Data to Build Anthropic's First Japan Data Centre

NTT Data Group is in final negotiations to construct a dedicated data centre for the US AI firm Anthropic in Osaka, Japan. The facility is expected to have a power capacity of up to 500 megawatts, with construction costs estimated at 1 trillion yen, or approximately $6.3 billion. Partial operations at the site are scheduled to begin as early as 2028. Both companies aim to finalize the agreement before the end of the fiscal year on March 31, 2026.
