· Technology · CNBC, Wired
Nvidia announced the DSX Pod AI Factory, a shipping-container-sized system integrating seven Vera Rubin AI racks designed for truck transport. The unit weighs 28,000 kilograms and arrives with all cabling and liquid cooling pre-assembled at the factory. Nvidia estimates a single Vera Rubin rack costs over $7 million, though the total system price was not disclosed. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027 through manufacturing partners including Foxconn, Gigabyte, Lenovo, HPE, Quanta and Pegatron. The company says the pod can reduce AI data center deployment time from six months to 14 days, targeting European customers facing infrastructure challenges.
Why it matters
The DSX Pod offers data center operators a turnkey, rapidly deployable AI infrastructure that could significantly shorten deployment timelines and lower installation complexity for global customers, particularly in Europe.
