Ola Driver Attacked, Dragged 2km on Swift Car Bonnet in Navi Mumbai

A Swift driver assaulted an Ola cab driver with a bamboo stick and dragged him for about 2 km on the car bonnet on the night of 15 August in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The victim, Pradeepkumar Pandey, 27, a Naigaon resident, sustained serious injuries after being thrown from the bonnet when the car slowed. Police at Nerul station have registered an FIR and charged the accused with voluntary hurt, rash driving and related offenses, but the driver remains absconding. The incident happened on Sarsole village road near Nerul pond around 9:35 pm after a dispute over a cut‑off that the Swift driver claimed the Ola cab performed.
