OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Space Shared Workspace
· Technology · Android Authority, IT Brief Australia
OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Space, a shared workspace that allows users and AI agents to edit the same documents simultaneously. Announced at DevDay alongside the GPT-6.1 Sol model and Dots agents, the platform replaces Library for eligible users and centers around Pages for real-time collaboration. Pages support text, images, charts, and tables while letting collaborators work with their own ChatGPT instances and leave comments for edits. The tool is currently rolling out to Pro, Business, and Enterprise users on the web and desktop, with mobile versions limited to reading and sharing. OpenAI plans to expand the workspace with collaborative Slides and Sheets in the near future.
Why it matters
Enterprise users and collaborative teams gain a direct AI-integrated alternative to traditional document-sharing tools like Google Workspace.
