Organisers Slash India vs Uruguay Ticket Prices to Rs 199
· Sports · NDTV Sports, Times of India
Organisers have slashed ticket prices by ninety percent from Rs 1,999 to Rs 199 for India's upcoming football match against Uruguay. The drastic price cut comes as organisers struggle to fill seats following disappointing attendance and vacant sections during the previous game against Brazil. The upcoming fixture aims to attract larger crowds and generate local fan support in the stadium. Officials hope the reduced pricing will drive ticket sales ahead of kickoff.
Why it matters
Lowering entry barriers helps secure a supportive home atmosphere for the national football team and addresses attendance hurdles for international friendlies in India.
