· Sports · Sportstar, Times of India
Pakistan will attempt to secure a consolation win in the third Test against England at Edgbaston after losing the first two matches of the series. In response to the poor performance, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent seven players home and called up seven replacements, including five uncapped players. The board also dismissed Test coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling chief Umar Gul, replacing them with Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke. Among those dropped were former stand-in captain Salman Ali Agha and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan. The PCB has also announced an investigation into the squad's conduct during the tour.
Why it matters
