Pakistan women's cricket team captain Fatima Sana revealed that the squad prepared for the Women's Asia Cup by playing full T20 matches against the Abdul Qadir Cricket Academy men's side in Lahore. The practice fixtures featured both teenage and senior male players competing under standard Twenty20 rules to test the team under pressure. The team previously exited in the semi-finals of the past two editions and finished as runners-up in 2012 and 2016.
