Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on August 20, 2026, posted an emotional message on X regarding his mother Sonia Gandhi's upcoming memoir, titled 'Belonging: A Journey of Love'. He stated that he is proud her story will be read by millions and acknowledged how difficult her life has been since the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi's memoir is scheduled for release on November 10, published by Alfred A Knopf, an American imprint of Penguin Random House. The book covers her journey marrying into India's political family, the tragedy of losing Rajiv Gandhi, and her decision to decline the prime ministership in 2004. Penguin Random House India has not yet confirmed the release date for the book in India.
