Parul Chaudhary won the bronze medal in the women's 3000m steeplechase at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, clocking a new personal best and national record of 9:08.67. Bahrain's Winfred Yavi secured the gold medal with a time of 9:04.36, while Kazakhstan's Norah Jeruto Tanui took the silver at 9:06.82. India's Ankita finished fourth in the same event, also setting a personal best of 9:19.24. Earlier in the day, Indian athletes Sarvesh Kushare and Ancy Sojan earned silver medals in the men's high jump and women's long jump, respectively. Harita Bhadra added to the medal haul by winning bronze in the women's 200m.
