A formal Pentagon inspector general report has detailed widespread destruction of United States military and diplomatic facilities across eight Middle Eastern countries during the conflict with Iran. The report covers the period from February 28 to June 30 and states that Iranian strikes damaged hundreds of structures at American bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Jordan. The destruction forced US Central Command to shift personnel and assets, including withdrawing Army medical evacuation helicopters from Iraq and Kuwait. Damage to the US Navy regional hub in Bahrain created severe logistical hurdles, prompting the military to utilize Diego Garcia as a sea logistics hub that stretched resupply cycles to 14 to 18 days. Additionally, Iranian drone strikes in early March caused extensive damage to the US Embassy compound in Riyadh, including a CIA station, and hit a utility building at the US consulate in Dubai.
