Pixel Watch 5 health features roll out with blood pressure and insulin resistance tracking

Google will begin distributing Health Guardian toolset updates to the Pixel Health app this week, with the first blood pressure, insulin resistance and sleep breathing trend reports available in early October. The update supports Pixel Watch 3, 4 and 5 owners globally, while European users of the Pixel Watch 4 and 5 will additionally gain access to the Breathing Emergency Detection tool that can contact emergency services during severe blood oxygen drops. All Pixel Watch owners can access these new health tracking features at no extra cost, and Fitbit Air subscribers with Google Health Premium will receive the insulin resistance and blood pressure trends later this year, though a specific date has not been announced.
