Plumber Helps Subdue Cockpit Attacker and Stabilise Flight to Tel Aviv

Plumber Yaniv Hayun helped subdue an attacker on a FlyDubai flight to Tel Aviv after a pilot was stabbed in the cockpit. Hayun stated he placed the attacker in a chokehold and took control of the steering yoke after watching the television show "Air Crash Investigation." Israeli investigators stated the suspect attempted to plummet the plane and crash it into the ground. The flight landed safely in Saudi Arabia where the injured co-pilot, Capt. Smit Machchhar, received medical treatment. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Hayun upon his return to Israel.
