Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Order of “Oliy Darajali Dustlik” by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his two-day state visit to Uzbekistan. The honour recognises the Prime Minister's role in strengthening the strategic partnership and bilateral ties between New Delhi and Tashkent. During the visit, the two leaders held delegation-level talks in Tashkent to expand cooperation in trade, investment, digital connectivity, energy, and defence. They also discussed aligning their respective developmental visions of 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Yangi Uzbekistan'. The visit serves to deepen India's engagement with Central Asia through new areas of cooperation.
