Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered humanitarian assistance to Nepal following devastating flash floods that have left nearly 400 people missing. The disaster struck early Wednesday when a surge in the Bhote Koshi River caused widespread destruction across the Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot districts. Among those reported missing are 105 Indian nationals and 37 NRIs, many of whom were travelling for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. The Indian embassy has established two helpline numbers to assist affected citizens and is coordinating rescue efforts with Nepalese authorities. At least seven fatalities have been confirmed, with the floods also damaging critical infrastructure and over a dozen hydropower projects.
