Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party on its newly appointed national office-bearers in a post on X. The party announced 13 new vice presidents, including Ram Madhav, D Purandeshwari and former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, and appointed Union minister Piyush Goyal as national treasurer. Retained leaders include B L Santhosh as National General Secretary (Organisation) and former ministers Smriti Irani and Biplab Kumar Deb as national secretaries, with Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal continuing in the role. New national secretaries Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Sandeep Pathak and Manoj Tigga were also inducted, while former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Baijayant Jay Panda and Rekha Verma remain vice presidents. The appointments were made under party president Nitin Nabin in New Delhi, with Modi emphasizing experience, energy and grassroots connect to bolster the party and focus on public service.
