Canadian poet Anne Carson has been awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature for her work across classical studies and essays. Hours before the announcement, the author was being discussed by students in a university course focused on non-conforming essayists. Carson's academic career began with a doctoral thesis titled Odi et Amo Ergo Sum. Her writing consistently challenges conventional literary genres and traditional rationalist frameworks.
